I LOVED the show as a kid (I was 11 when it premiered) as an adult, it doens't looks quite so good to me, perhaps because of the special effects, which tend to pale in comparison to what I saw on season 1 of Space:1999. My biggest beef was lack of explanation of exactly what happened to the earth during the holocaust, what it's condition is now (In 2491), and zero storylines about any attempt to restore the earth's environment in any way, shape, or form. I also found it strange, that there seem to be mutants roaming the suface, and there seems to be no attempt to help these people in any way, It seems that all the new dome cities are built at ground zero of the old cities... why would you do that? I would think it more practical to rebuild domed cities in less contaminated areas of the planet (such as South America, or remote pacific islands, assuming it was a USA/Russian exchange) etc.

damn matthew was making a good point of dragon riders needing TARGARYEN blood when he was bringing up rhaneys being laenors mother and addam being only velaryon blood, only the velaryons with significant amount of targ blood have been dragonriders until addam. but when it comes to nettles (an ACTUAL brown skinned, brown eyed girl of low birth) it makes it even more confusing when it comes to the theory of needing valyrian blood.

*_Dexter: Original Sin_* isn't exactly like *_Young Sheldon,_* he's not a kid, for one. I'm curious how it's going flow in terms of continuity with the original series. It's set in 1991 when Dexter was 20, but the actor doesn't necessarily look 20, however, Michael C. Hall didn't exactly look like his age either.

Really great show, guys! Tom with that NA bucket was probably the funniest shit I've seen all year. 😆 Speaking of HBO Max, I think the rebranding to Max was done because they didn't want the streaming service to be an edgy brand. They wanted it to be all ages, to be able to mean many things. You can have your edgy stuff there but also children content, etc.... Concerning The Batman, it was a great experience seeing it on the big screen. And the hype about the movie was that it was going to be a hard R dark Batman movie. I never thought it would make any banks cause I knew it would be dark, like an alternative super-hero movie type. The fact that it made 770, was actually a shock to me. Cause I didn't think it would get a large public. But that's why I was attracted to it. That being said it was a terribly written movie and that Bruce Wayne was trash(not to mention like Tom said, tons of identity politics). It succeeded as far as vibe and mood. That's what people wanted and what they got. And that is why I bought the Steelbook as well. It's like Crow in the sense that it's thin as a story but the visuals make it viable. I have tons of DVDs and Bluray like that where I didn't love those movies when they came out but are an easy watch.

Season 2 is 💩 and slow af. They could have progressed the story much more but they chose to have 4 episodes of Daemon tripping in harrenhall. WE GET IT, Daemon has some inner demons. We don't need half a season to establish that.

I'm with Jude on this one... I loved this movie. I laughed my ass off the entire time. 4 stars for me.

Saw the OG Twister in the theater with friends. We were "blown away" (Ha!ha!) by the film, and I did get it on VHS (widescreen). But I found that I never really went back to rewatch it after the first couple of times. As such, I never scored the DVD, BD, or 4K release of the film. Some movies are like that for me. My little brother saw Twisters Saturday and texted me to say it was great. But as enjoyable as the film may be, I just don't feel jazzed about it. 😅I may watch it down the road. But on the sequel, I agree with Kadish.

The Russos adaptation of *_The Gray Man_* wasn't a bad movie; it just cost too much and was PG-13. Their *_Extraction_* movies with Chris Hemsworth are awesome. I haven't seen *_Citadel_* yet, so no comment on that one.

I think Kadish should be banned from the show for a few months for constantly bringing up the accolyte

Regarding the costs of production, take for instance the "hot" bath scene between Qimir and Osha. That kind of rocky shore is mundane where I live, on the Atlantic coast of Europe. Literally I could go to such a place and shoot for free everyday. Definitely not 22 M per episode.

Ah, Twister is dumb fun. Been enjoying it for decades now. Quote this movie all the time. It’s not a masterpiece. It’s a popcorn movie and it has a great theme song by Van Hagar. Yeah, I know it’s Van Halen. Glade to see you kids reviewing something other than GOT prequel crap.
